She's been a die-hard vegan for 25 years and credits a plant-based  
diet for helping her recover from her leg amputation. 

Heather Mills was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, on January 12, in 
1968 - making her 54.  

She grew up in Northumberland after her family moved there when she 
was six.  

Heather began modelling around age 18 and married businessman Alfie 
Karmal in 1989, but they split two years later.  

Prior to her marriage to Sir Paul McCartney, she'd been engaged to 
filmmaker Chris Terrill, media executive Marcus Stapleton, and  
financier Raffaele Mincione.
