A surgeon who specialises in amputations having lost both his legs to 
sepsis is on a quest to become the first para-astronaut. Neil Hopper 
is consultant vascular surgeon at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, 
and a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Exeter, based at 
Truro.
