Technology and Research (in Orthotics & Prosthetics: O&P) Move Ahead


New developments are proliferating in many areas of prosthetic
technology and research including bionics, robotics, materials
science, osseointegration, microprocessor devices, and 3D printing.

However, these advances do not occur in a vacuum, but in a matrix
that involves all these areas as well as neuroengineering,
rehabilitation, biomedical engineering, technology transfers from
university research labs to commercialization, and more. In this
