Good afternoon, 

On Monday December 5th AHEAD hosted a meeting of the representatives of many of the major stakeholder groups involved in the curricular accessibility discussion at the AAP (Association of American Publishers) offices in New York City.  This day long, solutions oriented, meeting provided for an opportunity to move the process forward on hopefully developing a comprehensive solution around the issue of access to curricular materials for our students.  

The next meeting is currently scheduled to be held at AHEAD 2006 in San Diego in July. 

I have added to the AHEAD E-Text (http://www.ahead.org/etext/etext_main.htm <http://www.ahead.org/etext/etext_main.htm> ) site some documents that pertain to the meeting.  Further information will be posted to the site in the next few days.

As the AHEAD E-Text initiative moves forward relevant information for the DS community will be posted to the site, and I will send out updates as is warranted.
