What about in version 9 with the no training option? If the instructor
is a male or female could you just have another person with possibly a
similar pitch to their voice to the sound and quality check?

That would be pretty much a no. Dragon uses its own scripts, that's how
it
works at identifying how a person pronounces certain things. The
instructor
would have to train it him/herself.
