Web Infrastructure Engineer

Are you looking for a socially meaningful job that uses your technology
skills? Benetech has an opportunity for you to apply your web development,
database programming and system knowledge to our data-driven web-based
projects.  
Primary Responsibilities include:
Ø	Build and maintain Benetech's web products and services
Ø	Implement a new, easier to use and easier to maintain web presence
for Benetech programs
Ø	Maintain the defining standard of quality for Bookshare.org's XML
based online book database
Ø	Help project and Tech-Support teams provide assistance to users,
potential users, trainers and partners
The ideal candidate will have:
Ø	Two years or more of experience working on web based application
development
Ø	Languages: PHP4/5, Javascript, XSLT, Unix Scripting
Ø	Experience with relational database programming systems and design
(Mysql, PostgreSQL)
Ø	Experience with XML and XSL transformation
Ø	Experience with client-side Javascript
Ø	Accessible Technology knowledge and/or experience
Ø	Excellent communication skills, detail orientation, creativity, and
a sense of humor
Ø	Enthusiasm about working for a nonprofit, with other highly skilled
software developers
