[Athen] Linux Scanners

A few years ago I spent days trying to get ANY scanner to work via SANE,
and never did succeed. SANE has probably improved, but it was probably
my worst experience with Linux. (Mandrake)

Subject: [Athen] Linux Scanners

Hello all,

We need suggestions on a high speed double sided wikked fast blah blah
blah scanner that will play nice with Linux - specifically Debian - and
SANE drivers. The only ones we can find are flatbeds.

While I have your attention - I am looking for opinions on Bell and
Howell scanners. Good?, Bad?, Indifferent?
