Investments in any successful business, which has been shown as to
Freedom Scientific success, is just plain good business. One such
buyout was Dragon to ScanSoft (Nuance). It lowered the price, had new
money to develop a better product, and provide better tech support,
including updates. Why? It brought that product to the main stream,
not just the disability market. With the higher need for the rise in
recognized disabilities, this is a good thing.

Is it fair to conclude that there is a good profit to be made from the
disability market? No indication that the purchase is done for
philanthropic reasons.
