Job Summary: A textbook manufacturing University department seeks a well
rounded Production/Manifesting Operation Manager to oversee their textbook
and video conversion process in multiple formats (i.e., PDF, MP3, braille,
captioning, and customize formats) for students with print related
disabilities
nationwide. The successful candidate will lead the operations taking into
account: overseeing two units for post-publisher production of extbooks
content. The position includes having a background in development and
implementation of production and/or manufacturing procedures, budget, cost
savings, staff production workload, an experience reporting and tracking,
digital publishing is a plus. This candidate does not need to have
experience
with braille but to show they have the aptitude of incorporation and manage
the products into the production system distribution process.

Responsibility / Duty

1. Manage facilitate and/or provide unit development of strategic and
tactical
planning. Supervise individuals, teams, units, departments or enterprises on

alternative media production and technical support related issues.
Responsible for implementing cost saving procedures for Production and
Technical Assistance Unit.
2. Production of media and monitoring all in-house production and technical

support workflow.
3. Develop and maintain annual production budget

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree preferred; six years experience in the
creation, distribution, and administration of accessible instructional
materials,
including direct relationships with publishers of instructional; proven
record of
success or relevant experience in the field of leadership, digital media,
assistive technology, or other related alternative media fields; or any
equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to five years related
experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants must have excellent managerial and organizational skills and the
ability to develop implement policies and procedures. A person in this
position
must have the ability to manage/schedule a diverse group of individuals

consist of employees working in house and working from home.
