[Athen] Scripting editing of tagged PDF files

Hi all, 

I have a PDF that is tagged and has good structure. However the heading tags and image alternate text have been manually entered and many of them have problems related to capitalization, plus a few spelling errors. Here's an example heading:  

unIversal desIgn guIdelInes 

This is a very large document, and these problems will take days to correct manually. Is anyone aware of a utility that would support rule-based correction of PDF tagged structure?
