And, in the RFBD Download Manager, be sure that under View-->Options that the box for unzipping the files after download is checked. If not, it will not set up the files in RFBD Media Files for burning to CD.

I agree - it is the most common mistake that the students we train to download RFBD titles make - gee, it says download, so that must be it!

But it's not. The RFBD Media Files folder contains your unzipped books listed by the product number. Inside the single title folder it will have an additionl folder or folders named CD01 and CD02, etc., so it will be asy to burn the CDs separately - they're already intact in their individual folders.

Susan,

I think you may be looking in the wrong folder. The files you want to burn to CD are in the RFB&D Media folder, not the RFB&D Download folder. See if that fixes it for you.

We have started downloading DAISY books from RFBD this semester. The instructions seem pretty clear and I have the downloader installed and have downloaded a couple of books so far.

However. I cannot seem to figure out how to put 1.6 gb worth of files onto a 700 mb CD. In fact, I know this to be impossible, yet the instructions clearly say I can burn these to CD. I also noticed all of them are .zip files. I anticipate students not really being able to use these files as intended on their DAISY players considering how they are being presented to me.

What the heck am I missing here? I have sent a request for technical assistance to RFBD and got an "out of office" return message. I need to get this resolved soon. Anyone have some tips/procedures for me to use?
