[Athen] SmartMic

Hi Carol,

I have only seen this or something like it used in an "echoing"
situation--where SR is being used for live transcription of an event and the
room has no means to accommodate a voice transcriber in an out of the way,
sound-proofed location.

I really cannot imagine a student having to wear one in a public venue. My
own view is that such a requirement would go beyond being merely unsanitary
and might be construed as a violation of personal rights. (I am not a
lawyer, however.)

Best,
ken
