[Athen] Advertising Reminder for ATHEN List

Hello list members,

This is a reminder to the members of ATHEN list that the general 
advertising of fee-based products or services is not allowed on the 
ATHEN Listserv.  Sending unsolicited advertisements or information of a 
commercial nature (e.g., selling any product, service, or anything else 
for a fee) to other subscribers, whether through the lists or privately, 
is a violation of ATHEN Listserv rules.

An announcement of a new product or service is acceptable provided that 
such information sent to the ATHEN Listserv is brief, no business is 
conducted via the ATHEN Listserv, and the announcement does not 
denigrate or disparage similar products or services.  We encourage the 
discourse and exchange of information related to both commercial and 
non-commercial products and services, but expect that list members 
refrain from the general advertising or marketing of such offerings.

list administrators (athen-owner at athenpro.org) or a member of the 
Executive Committee (http://athenpro.org/about/executive_committee).
