This is good news if they follow through appropriately. I won't hold my breath either but I will at least allow myself to hope!

Jayme and I just met with Pearson reps last week. I know it does not solve your current issue, but Pearson is working on ensuring that MyMathLab will work with magnification software and screen readers. According to their presentation, that functionality should be incorporated into a version of the program that will be released this summer. Pearson's intention is also to make 52 of their leading math books available as accessible MathML E-books.

I never hold my breath for these promises, but we spoke with one of their technical folks who is working on the project and it sounded very hopeful!

Hello all!

We are struggling with getting ZoomText to play nice with MyMathLabs Plus. Seems it will work well for the student for the homework sections, but not on tests. When using ZoomText for the test, the student reports that all the numbers are 'squished' together.

Any thoughts on this? Is anyone using MAGic or some other screen magnification that works? (The magnifier built in to MS Windows is NOT sufficient for this student.)

THANKS in advance for ANY helpful thoughts!!

Heidi
