In our policy, we let students know that they need a receipt on file or proof of possession in order to pick up their alternative text. We ask for a copy of the receipt or if in a rare case they don't have it, we ask that they bring in their "textbook" and sign a Proof of Possession statement saying they have possession of it. A staff person from our office signs this as well as witness.

Subject: [Athen] textbook purchases

Greetings,
There are ongoing discussions regarding students
showing proof of purchase of a textbook.
How do you handle your different scenarios or exception cases?
Thanks for any comments on this.
