[Athen] question about AMIS

Hmmm, that could be it. The book isn't that large, but he is running Windows on a Mac, which may play into the issue as well.

Thanks Ron and Chris. I may get a chance to use TAMC sooner than expected. It would probably be quicker than regenerating the DAISY book in Publisher. I'll let you know what happens.

The file is too big. Break the books down into chunks and the problem should disappear. I have seen this happen repeatedly not just with AMIS but with other readers as well when you exceed the memory threshold of the computer.

Subject: [Athen] question about AMIS

Hi all,

I have a student trying to use the AMIS reader to access books that we produce in-house. He says it is reading for a while, then shuts down the reader. He has to open the reader again, reload the book, then find his place in the book before he can go on reading. This happens after around 10 to 15 minutes.
Any suggestions?

Thanks.
