Hi Howard:

Sounds like you are working with Quicktime files, so as long as you have access to a Mac either of these may make the process easier.

Subject: [Athen] Tech problems (ok - user error issues) with Magpie

Hello All:

Well I'm trying to sync captions from a transcript to a multimedia file using Magpie. My first time trying to do this. When I load my .mov file into magpie and play the audio, it sounds terrible. The audio quality produces a voice quality somewhere between the exorcist and the emperor from star wars - very choppy and distorted. I can get the captioning to work but then when I play the .qt file, I get the same distortion. If I play the original multimedia file directly through quicktime, there's no distortion.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Howard
