Hi all!

Just a reminder that you and your students have one more opportunity to
speak to the federal commission on alternate instructional materials in
higher ed. Tomorrow will be the last public hearing, and we really need your
support. You will have 5 minutes to speak and then the Commission has 10
minutes to ask questions. It's not difficult, and it lets your voice be
heard! There is still time to register, but you need to sign up by noon on
Tuesday to ensure a spot. If you are interested, please e-mail the following
address: psc at cast.org

What should you talk about? The issues you face creating and obtaining
alternate formats for students; the issues students face obtaining and using
their materials; your opinion on whether compliance with Web access
standards is working; your concerns about creating accessible online
courses; issues with captioning Web materials; anything related to alternate
instructional formats is fair game!

If you are attending the AHEAD Conference, you can speak in person, or we
also have a phone bridge available. We will call you at your scheduled time.
(Remember that the meeting is in Seattle, WA, on Pacific time.)

Too shy to speak, we still want people's stories. We will take written
feedback through the end of August. Please send comments to Janet
Gronnenberg: jgronneberg at cast.org
