I’m working with a student who is taking online classes and is using JAWS 10. For her current class, she said she’s having problems with some of the quizzes in Blackboard. In particular, she says it’s skipping over combo boxes (a section of the quiz is matching questions, which are set up with the combo boxes). When I go through the quiz with JAWS 12 it reads everything and I can tab through everything to answer the questions. The student has worked with the tech desk and they’re not quite sure what’s going on either. Since I’m not really familiar with JAWS, does anyone know if this is something that would be fixed if she upgrades her software or should it work with her version and she just needs to make a change to her settings? She’s willing to upgrade, but would like to be sure that it’ll take care of the problem.
