I don't know if your colleague needs text to speech also, but there is an iPhone/iPad app called Assistive Chat that allows you to type text on a screen and have the TTS read it out loud. It also does word prediction and allows you to save text for recall and repetition later. It's about $25. www.assistiveapps.com<http://www.assistiveapps.com>
