What OS are you using (MAC or Windows)?  32-bit or 64-bit?  If Windows
7, what version (Home, Premium, Pro)? If using a MAC, what version (Snow
Leopard, Leopard, Lion, Mt Lion)?

I still have a HP ScanJet 5100 C. scanner using a LPT 1 port. I know
it's a 13-year-old scanner. It is however still faster than many
conventional scanners with a 17 inch long glass plate. If anybody had
any way to create, find a driver for it?

 

Any thoughts or suggestions?
