Cindy, I'm in Buffalo and we frequently have to bring in interpreters from either Rochester or Olean, both of which are about 90 miles. I pay the hourly rate not travel and mileage-sounds like double billing.

Subject: [Athen] non-local interpreters

Hello colleagues,

[Excuse the cross-post]

We'd appreciate any insight into calls made when the only available interpreters for an academic assignment would be traveling 90 miles one way, charging mileage and travel time.

Has anyone faced this reality? Has anyone had reason to establish a "boundary?"

Many thanks,
