We are a team of researchers at the University of Washington conducting a
survey on the use of cameras and tactile graphics by people who are blind
or have low vision.   This survey will inform the design of a smartphone
application that provides feedback to aid users scanning QR codes (barcodes
that encode textual information). It is part of a larger project to convert
textbook graphics into a tactile graphics with embedded QR codes for the
text labels.  The goal of this survey is to determine how cameras and
tactile graphics are currently used by blind and low vision adults, and
what types of feedback are most helpful in guiding users to scan the QR
codes that are placed on the graphics.

This survey is intended to be completed by adults 18 and over who identify
as low vision or blind. If you complete the survey and provide contact
information, you will be entered in a lottery to win one of multiple $25
Amazon gift cards. We would appreciate it if you would forward this on to
people who might have valuable input.
