[Athen] RE: Current high-speed scanners

We have a DR-9080C working on Windows 7 as well. It has been a real
workhorse! However, we use a DR-4010C to scan most things. The DR-4010C is
smaller, however it handles most textbooks just fine. We pretty much only
use the DR-9080C when we need to be scanning two texts at the same time or
when we need to scan something that is in a larger format.

We generally scan textbooks using the scan utility software that comes with
the scanners as it is the fastest. However we can also scan using both of
those scanners directly into ABBYY and Kurzweil 3000.
