Today WellPoint, one of the largest health benefits companies in the United
States, announced a comprehensive plan to increase accessibility of its
print and digital information.  The company will be using WCAG 2.0 AA as
its standard for web and mobile apps, and will be expanding its system for
providing braille, large print, electronic, and audio versions of print
information.

This announcement is the result of Structured Negotiations - WellPoint
worked with Steve Mendelsohn and Sam Chen, two blind plan members, Linda
Dardarian of the Oakland civil rights firm Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian &
Ho, and Lainey Fiengold on this initiative.  No lawsuit was needed.
