Director of the University of Kentucky Disability Resource Center

This position is responsible for University compliance to state and federal mandates, as well as working with students with disabilities to ensure a conducive learning environment at the University of Kentucky. Duties include policy and planning for effective management; budget oversight for efficient and appropriate use of funds; supervision of staff for program accountability; student services for recruitment and retention of students; academic services for more effective faculty teaching support and student learning satisfaction/effectiveness; and compliance to federal regulations. Minimum qualifications are Master’s Degree and five years of experience. Strongly preferred are experience with federal and state regulations required of the University concerning disabled students; ability to supervise a diverse staff, manage budgets, knowledge of current disability issues in higher education; must be sensitive to the unique needs of college students with disabilities; and must work effectively across the institution with various administrative levels.
