[Athen] Alt Text using iPad

Student is opening a Word 2013 document on her iPad and successfully navigating the text using Voiceover.  When she gets to an image it reads a long list of numbers followed by the word "image".  I think it is s a size and location delineation.  There is text in both the title and description sections of the Alternate Format.  I was hoping Voiceover would read the alt text.

Can you share more details?

What type of image? What type of document/ system is it?  What are you expecting to happen vs. what is actually happening?
