[Athen] Dropbox for sharing etext?

Filelocker is hosted on our website so it is branded as part of UCCS as well. And, it can be used for other purposes on campus.  All staff and faculty can use it to pass files around to each other and to registered students.  IT supports it so I don't have to worry about maintenance or future.

Leyna, it appears that filelocker is free? That's pretty cool! In my experience with dropbox, if I were to share a file, the student would have to create their own dropbox account in order to retrieve the information. I like the idea of not requiring the student to create an account, and I like that the filelocker download option stays open for two weeks and then goes away. Thanks for sharing!

We are using Filelocker which allows us to upload books and chapters and share them with specific students.  When you share them, Filelocker sends the student an email with a link.  They stay available for the student to download for 2 weeks and then go away.   It's been convenient and successful so far.  We have not used it with any blind students yet so I'm not sure about full accessibility.

Hi all,
I feel like this has already been addressed, but couldn't find it anywhere. I would like to explore new ways to distribute etext to students. One suggestion was Dropbox. I'm curious if any of you are using it and if you have any tips or suggestions on how to use it effectively for distributing etext. Thank you!
