Hi Robert,

Here's where you'll find the auto detect language settings...

1. Open a new document or email message.
2. On the Review tab, in the Language group, click Language.
3. Click Set Proofing Language.
4. In the Language dialog box, de-select the Detect language automatically check box.

Hope this helps.

Russell

Hi all,

Can somebody tell me where to find the auto language detection settings in Word 2010? I need to turn the off for a student who switches between English and Spanish. For some reason, Word (in all it's great wisdom) changes the entire document to Spanish when she enters any Spanish characters, even though the majority of the document is English.

Thanks for any help you can give.
