And to add to this, if a student is a braille reader, use appropriate braille chemistry notation and you can represent the molecular diagrams in braille rather than having to draw them as tactiles.

In my opinion, tactile models should be considered in the second example. We are currently creating raised thermoform diagrams for a geology class and also they are supplementing with 3D models for one of our blind students.
