If she could use a Mac or PC instead of an iPad, I’d suggest Efofex’s FX Chem for chemistry equations:
…and FX ChemStruct for drawing chemistry structures:

BTW, students with special needs can get any of Efofex’s math and science programs for free through their EmPower program:
