Posting this notice with hopes that someone knows of a potential candidate
in the Atlanta area, or who is willing to relocate to Atlanta. Job is in the
federal government, not higher ed. The employer/client is great.

Full-time job opportunity at one of our clients: Sec. 508
technician/specialist for documents.

Atlanta: full time contractor position.

Onsite in Atlanta (no telecommuters or long-distance contractors)

Should know accessibility for PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, and
other document programs. Could eventually become a full-time federal
employee position for the right person.

Must be able to:

Create accessible documents with MS Office programs.

Know Word's advanced features for long documents, templates, tables, etc.

Review, check, and remediate PDFs for accessibility.

Work with document authors and advise them on how to create accessible
documents.

Thoroughly know Sec. 508 requirements for federal document information (ICT)
and how to make it work in a real-world publishing environment.
