[Athen] Accessibility Check in Word

Bryon,

When I've encountered older Word docs (Word 97-2003 file types), I will go to File, Convert, and Save As "Word Document". That always works for me. However, you shouldn't have to convert it if you just save it directly as a docx type...Might also be the version of Microsoft Office you have, and if you're on a PC or Mac. Not sure if that was helpful at all...

Hi all,

Sorry for the cross posting. I have created a document in Word and when I run the Check Accessibility feature, I get the follow message:

"Unable to run the Accessibility Checker. Cannot check the current file type for accessibility issues." The Word file is saved as a .doc, which I thought was the more appropriate file type for accessibility check. I have also saved the file as a .docx type and get the same message. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
