I work with a a low vision student who is albino, so acuity, light
filtering, and contrast are all concerns for him to be able to see content
written on a white or chalkboard. We use an older model Samsung document
camera attached to a hi-res monitor which works well for him to see
everything using magnification, reversed colors, etc.. The adjustments are
functions of the camera. We've tried several newer cameras (that work for
other low vision students) but this particular (no longer produced) camera
is the only one that works for this particular student. In other words, it
all depends on the content being magnified and the particular user's needs.
