Ditto. We definitely don’t want to overwhelm users with new sets of shortcut keys.
Preferably we want that end-user has the option to change the shortcut keys as needed.

One option may be to start with what is already used today with rich-text editors. Here is a list of the shortcut keys that are used for the CK Editor and TinyMCE. There looks to be overlap with many of the more commonly used shortcut commands.
