Subject: [Athen] U of WA is looking for an Associate Director

I wanted to share that UW Disability Services is looking for a great dynamic leader to fill our open Associate Director role. It is an exciting time at the University of Washington right now with the DRS office continuing to grow and evolve as a unit while the campus is actively evaluating ways to create an inclusive culture on campus.

Here is the UW Hires job # or view the direct posting with this link: https://uwhires.admin.washington.edu/ENG/candidates/default.cfm?szCategory=jobprofile&szOrderID=144487&szCandidateID=0&szSearchWords=&szReturnToSearch=1

Closes May 31st, 2017.

Having celebrated 5 years at the U of WA, I can say this is a fabulous institution. There are several accessibility experts on campus, our department has experienced tremendous growth, and in our last Provost's Town Hall, Provost Jerry Baldasty, identified that accessibility is a second goal for this upcoming year (YouTube link watch 31:38-32:31)<http://www.washington.edu/provost/>.

Seattle is a "little big" city, meaning there is something for everyone: attend the Opera, go high-end shopping, bike the Burke-Gilman trail, hike/ski the mountains, watch whales, visit Pike Place, scope out several museums, have a campfire at Golden Gardens, drive 2 hours south to protest at the state capital, hear a thought-provoking lecture on several campuses, watch a Seahawks/Sounders game (you know you love the fans), attend a poetry slam, and eat variety of ethnic food!
