    Summary: CADET is NCAM's free software for writing captions and
    descriptions.It runs in any browser and can export captions in file
    formats commonly used online today by most browsers and stand-alone
    media players.CADET can also be used to generate audio-description
    scripts. Once downloaded and installed, CADET does not require an
    internet connection in order to operate: it runs locally in any Web
    browser, so users do not need to upload private videos or
    proprietary content to servers or video-hosting sites in order to
    create captions.
