[Athen] ProQuest EBook Central Accessibility Question

Looking for some help please,
I'd like to know how students using text-to-speech (read the web) tools with either Read&Write or Kurzweil 3000 are able to access the reading materials with ProQuest Ebooks delivered via the University library database system. (This was formerly e-Brary.)
They do have accessibility for screen reader access such as JAWS and VoiceOver, but most of my student are not screen reader users as they have learning and processing difficulties, not visual issues.
I know the screen shot reader is an option, but tedious for a lot of reading. I'm hoping there's a better solution.

Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated.
Thanks.
