[Athen] IPA symbols

Hi all,

We have a blind student enrolled in an English course for the winter 2019 term. The textbook being used is The English Language: A Linguistic History, 3E.

There are a lot of IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) symbols in the book.

I found someone who has created a modification to the Jaws synthesizer file that allows Jaws to read the IPA symbols, but it's really difficult to read, for example, a poem that has a lot of IPA symbols within it.

The person who created the Jaws modification to the synthesizer file also created a Braille file that is supposed to allow the IPA symbols to be shown on a refreshable Braille display. I have asked him to send it to me.

A long shot, but, by any chance, has anyone done the above textbook in Braille?
