Job Summary Statement: 

Under direction of the Coordinator of the Program for the Center for Accessible Education, assist in all elements of service delivery and program development for students served in the Learning Disabilities Program and for other students with disabilities served by CAE. Major responsibilities include: Interpret psycho-educational reports to verify disability according to University and State guidelines and to determine appropriate accommodations and support. Administer supplemental testing instruments, if necessary, to comprehensively counsel and assess needs of students with various disabilities; administer screening instruments to UCLA students who suspect that they may have a disability and make referrals to on-campus and off-campus resources based on screening results; provide specialized disability-related counseling for students; liaison with on-campus and off-campus departments and programs to coordinate services and to explain services for students served by CAE; lead and/or co-facilitate support groups and instruct small group workshops in learning strategies, disability management and service provision; provide disability awareness presentations for campus faculty, staff and students. Prepare written program materials, and assist, when necessary, in other CAE services and functions. 

This is a contract appointed position with possibility of renewal.
