From the HELP menu, click on CHECK FOR UPDATES. I don't think these announcements are automatic with Nuance anymore. You can find out by doing a manual search from the HELP menu.

The reason I know is that I'm considered a "super user" and provide training in DNS. I get hooked up with the most diverse groups of support professionals you can imagine!

I rarely recommend Facebook for the workplace, but I would suggest you join the FB users group for Dragon Voice Recognition Users. There are a number of Nuance (current & former) techs who run this group and getting answers there is a pretty good shot.

I've gotten the notifications by registering each serial number via Nuance web page right after doing the installation.

We have recently upgraded our 8 licenses for Dragon to Dragon Professional Individual 15.30.000.006 since Nuance is cutting support for v.13 in January. Since the upgrade, we are having numerous problems with the software becoming unresponsive and also stopping Word from responding as well. Many times it requires that we actually go into the task manager and stop all the Dragon related processes before we are able to get Word back. Needless to say, we have to reboot Dragon as well.

We have been in discussion with Nuance who has sent patches and given lists of instructions, none of which have been successful. The latest upgrade to 15.3 improved the software so that it allowed for almost a page of dictation before “freezing” but of course that isn’t good enough.

We are using Windows 10 and Microsoft 365.

Is anyone having similar problems?
