Re-extract the original from the file and see if it works.  It may have just had a wonky save. (This is why I don’t ever get rid of the original file/files I get from the publisher.)

Hello:

We have broken a book into chapters but when attempting to OCR them, we notice that one of the chapters will not open.  It says that there is an error in the file; that it is damaged and cannot be repaired.  Has anyone run into this issue before and how did you solve it?
