There are DAISY mobile apps for smartphones & tablets as well. I do not
know whether your "giant anthology" would crash the student's cell phone,
but it IS possible to use the app on the phone for a more portable access.

It's also possible to use the Google app via cloud storage too if the
student uploads their book(s) to their Google Drive and "listen" online.
