[Athen] Book for an online student

Robert,

Why would they have to mail the book to you? We only require proof of
“ownership” which could be copy of a receipt, check out slip from a
library, photo of their name written on it. Many times I’ve converted a
book electronically for a student long before a semester started and
released it electronically after “proof” of possession of the book. Our
department considered the cost of purchasing & converting books as part of
our cost of doing business. We worked out a buy back agreement with the
bookstore. Sometimes we were able to get a desk copy from the publisher or
the instructor or the department which we could use to cut, scan and rebind.

Hopefully someone on the listserv will have an electronic version of the
book and can share it with you.
