[Athen] [External] Touchscreen projection capability

Hi Alice,

The student has difficulty with an online class with her small Lenovo Think Pad. The MY IT Lab software will not let her enlarge her screen and she has to toggle between screens. Our Engineering dept. has a tutor working with her and they have a large screen touch screen display that has worked well for the student. She doesn't need any voice output. I have reached out to the Engineering dept. for the specs of the system they are using.

For the time being, I have a projector I can hook up to the laptop and project the computer image on a white wall, but it doesn't have touch screen capability. It may work for a quick fix.

I appreciate the response and hope all is well in east Tennessee.

Hi Bryon,
What is it you are looking for? There are cctv's that can attach to a laptop that have controls that voice. They can screen capture from long distance in addition to serving as magnification devices to a computer screen. We have an older version of something that is no longer being made called the ebot, where it can use the computer screen to enlarge materials and also swivels to capture and enlarge from a board. It has a joystick that also has voice directed software. This might be the type of device you are looking for, but I'm not sure. I think that enhancedvision has some models, and HIMS is the manufacturer that I worked with for the ebot.

Hi all,

Is there such a product available that is a projection touch screen system? I envision using such a system with a student who has some vision loss.

Thanks for any suggestions or recommendations.
