[Athen] Canvas Commons question

Hi Debee,

The CCC Accessibility Center has created some self-paced Alt Media Courses
that are located in the CVC-OEI's Catalog
<https://catalog.onlinenetworkofeducators.org/browse/accessibility>
including:

- An Overview of Reading, Writing, and Text-to-Speech Tools
- Introduction to Alternate Media
- Alternate Media Production Manual
- Alternate Media: Workflow Strategies for PDF

In the CVC-OEI Catalog, please select the icon "Accessibility Essentials"
for more course listings. We are currently in the process of refreshing
many of course courses, which will be launched fairly soon, beginning with
Canvas Accessibility (which will feature some STEM accessibility support.)

Currently, these alt media courses are not yet available on the Commons as
we haven't received much interest from the Colleges to create, adapt, and
track professional development for our staff. If you are interested in
adopting some of the content and adapting to fit your institutional
training needs, please contact me for more information. Please note that
best practices and technical information may update due to changing
technology and system needs. This means that the Commons copy downloaded
for any of Commons downloaded courses will be a snapshot of the content,
and may not reflect updated content. I hope this helps.

Warmly,
