Hello everyone,

We had a great discussion yesterday during the ATHEN Quarterly meeting.
Notes will be sent out soon to share the ideas that were discussed.

There was overwhelming support to meet again soon so we can continue the
discussion. We have scheduled part 2 of the ATHEN Quarterly meeting to be
held on February 17, 2021 at 2PM Eastern.

Below is a copy of the email thread for the ATHEN Quarterly meeting since
we will be continuing this same discussion in February. I have also left
the Zoom meeting details since the Zoom link will remain the same for the
2/17 meeting. Calendar invite is attached.

Hello colleagues!



In anticipation of our January 27th (tomorrow!) ATHEN Quarterly meeting
(all are invited, member or not), we wanted to discuss the real issue
around software accessibility testing and how we can share information
about the current state of a specific software.



We have a facilitated discussion planned and ask you to consider the
following questions to maximize the value of our time together.



   - How often do you need to answer the question "how accessible is
   [insert software name here]?"
   - When you need to know if a current software is accessible, where do
   you go?
   - What makes you trust someone’s competence in software accessibility
   testing?
   - Do you use the ATHEN Listserv for these queries?
      - Do you respond directly to the person and not the listserv?
      - Do you ask to schedule or offer to schedule a meeting?
   - Do you do your own software accessibility testing?
      - What does that look like?
   - What are your top concerns with sharing your findings?



We are excited for what will result from this conversation. See you then!
