Shawn and All,

Equidox is excellent, you pay for the amount of concurrent use licenses. This my point of contact for our Equidox account thomas at onixnet.com<mailto:thomas at onixnet.com>. I have been able to setup as many named user accounts as needed. However, only 2 people can be logged in at the same time because we have 2 concurrent licenses.

There is an excellent online OCR and remediation tool called Equidox. I am unsure of the cost , but there are some details on the accessibility center site: https://cccaccessibility.org/instructional/pdf-accessibility?highlight=WyJlcXVpZG94Il0=

Eric,

I don’t know of any fully online besides uploading PDFs to Google Drive and then opening the PDF as a Google Doc. I have suggested to our faculty for their personal machines the following program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ne-ocr/ I don’t know if it has zone recognition though.

Hey all,

Most of what I’m using OmniPage for is readings instructors have scanned and uploaded to BBLearn. I have two computers set up in our office for students to do the converting and editing, but with COVID, we aren’t letting them work from the office. I limped through last fall by doing the zoning for the students, then sending them the word files to edit, but wondering if there’s any web based options out there.

Our IT Dept won’t let me buy licenses to install software on my student employees personal computers, and I don’t have the budget to set them all up with a laptop. I haven’t had a chance to do a good search of what’s available yet, figured I’d ask to see if anyone knows of a good option and save some time.

Thanks,
