Hi, I have been wondering about this question of accessible digital displays. The world is full of examples of information displays that, by law, are supposed to be accessible. My personal experience is largely with various kiosks in airports including Immigration and Customs kiosks. None of them are anywhere close to accessible.

Greg Vanderheiden, then head of the Trace Center of the University of Wisconsin, created a very usable kiosk prototype several decades ago. Making a similar kiosk is hardly rocket science with the technology of today, but I have never seen one. I hope I am just out of touch and they are ubiquitous. Are they?

Dear esteemed colleagues,

I lead Georgetown University's digital accessibility program. I'm part of a working group that's taking a closer look at our digital displays across campus, especially in high traffic, high awareness venues. Would appreciate an opportunity to connect with folks around this important issue, especially when incorporating accessibility into these display systems at the procurement stage.
Feel free to reply and we can perhaps connect off-list regarding specifics.

Thanks.
