Panelists:

Sebastian Niles is an accessible technology specialist at the University of California-Davis who has worked for eight years in accessible remediation of textbooks and course material for students with disabilities. He has a Master's degree in higher education from Central Washington University and a certification as a Certified Professional in the Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).



Catherine (“Cath”) Stager is one of the founding members of the Assistive Technology Higher Education Network (ATHEN). She is a Certified Usability Analyst and a lifelong learner. For over twenty-five years, she has specialized in assistive technology, universal design, web accessibility and creating access to academia and technology. Cath has been involved with Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web, and Technology Conference since its second year, dedicating herself as a supporter, presenter, and member of the planning committee. Cath has presented regionally and nationally on Universal Design, Accessibility, Assistive Technology, Accessible formats and Disability Rights, Responsibilities & Accommodations within Higher Education for Students with Disabilities.



Susan Kelmer is the Alternate Format Production Program Manager at the University of Colorado Boulder, and has worked in the field of Alternate Format for 24 years. She presents about and trains colleagues in alternate format production using best practices and industry standards for effective alternate format. She created two trainings for the California Community College system’s CCC Training Center, and has written a comprehensive alternate format production manual that is shared widely through open copyright.
